CHANGE IN FIRM OWNERSHIP & NEW LEADERSHIP
Needham, MA– Katz Nannis + Solomon P.C. (KNS) Certified Public Accountants announce a change in the firm ownership structure with Allen Katz, Larry Nannis, and Jeff Solomon as shareholders. Katz, Nannis, and Solomon were formerly shareholders of Levine Katz Nannis + Solomon, P.C., a leading regional CPA firm. Jeff Solomon is the new Managing Shareholder.
Operating in the same Needham location, the newly constituted firm continues to specialize in serving emerging businesses and technology companies, government contractors, high net worth individuals and families, restaurant and food service companies, professional service and real estate firms.

The firm’s founders are leaders in both the profession and in the business community. Allen Katz
is currently chairman of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants’ (AICPA’s) National Accreditation Committee and was a past chairman of the AICPA’s Uniform Accountancy Act Committee, where he worked with all fifty states to establish uniform accountancy laws and regulations. In Massachusetts, he is a past president of the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants (MSCPA), and led the initiative to implement a peer review requirement in the state.

across all sectors and industries of the U.S. economy and the oldest national small-business advocacy organization. He is a past-chair of the Smaller Business Association of New England (SBANE), a New England organization providing a legislative voice for small business at the state and Federal level, and making practical information available to help business owners grow their business.
currently serves as an AICPA Council member and is the Immediate Past Chairman of the MSCPA. He has held positions in that organization such as Vice President of Finance and Chairman of the Accounting and Auditing Board. Active in the Boston community, he is a Board member and Treasurer of the MIT Enterprise Forum and a former director of SBANE. Solomon is a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) and a former Editorial Advisor to the Journal of Accountancy. He has published numerous articles in both Mass High-Tech
and The Boston Business Journal
