Massachusetts Working on Wellness offers up to $10,000 in seed funding and expert training to help businesses build a fun and effective wellness initiative unique to their workplace. Worksite wellness initiatives can lead to healthier, happier and more productive employees. By joining the Working on Wellness movement, your organization will learn from experts how to improve employee productivity, satisfaction and culture. 


AccuRounds Selected to Participate in Statewide Worksite Wellness Initiative

Avon (August, 2016) … Since Fall 2015, 75 employees from AccuRounds in Avon, MA joined Massachusetts’ new worksite wellness initiative. The program, called Working on Wellness, provides up to $10,000 in funding and hands-on support to employers as they develop and implement policies and programs that enable healthy employee behavior. Employers include non-profits, for-profits, and government entities. “The MA Working on Wellness program is a wonderful opportunity for Giner, Inc. We have hard working people who are focused on their jobs, and with a half hour lunch break, that doesn’t leave much time for activity during the work day. We feel the Giner, Inc. Working on Wellness program will offer employees healthy choices, nutritional information, stress relief and focus on wellness and safety. Jennifer Parent to Receive 2016 Marilla M. Ricker Achievement Award from the New Hampshire Women’s Bar Association

Manchester, N.H. (July 21, 2016) – McLane Middleton, Professional Association congratulates Jennifer L. Parent on being named the 2016 Marilla M. Ricker Achievement Award winner for her distinguished career and outstanding achievements in the legal profession on behalf of women. The award, presented by the New Hampshire Women’s Bar Association (NHWBA), will be presented at the NHWBA’s 19th Annual Fall Reception on October 13, 2016 at the Concord Country Club. Jennifer is a director at McLane Middleton and is chair of the firm's litigation department. She recently served on the firm's Management Committee. She is a founding member and past president of the NHWBA and received the organization's Trailblazer in Law Award in 2008.  She is a past president of the New Hampshire Bar Association and currently serves on the Executive Council of the National Conference of Bar Presidents where she was nominated as Secretary with her expected presidency in 2018.  Jennifer is also on the board of the New Hampshire Bar Foundation.  She is a 2016 Life Fellow of the NH Bar Foundation, State Chair and Sustaining Life Fellow of the American Bar Foundation, and Sustaining Life Fellow of the National Conference of Bar President. 


McLane Middleton Hires Whitney Alexander and Ashley Scott

Manchester, N.H. and Woburn, Mass. (July 21, 2016) – The law firm of McLane Middleton is pleased to announce the hiring of attorneys Whitney A. Alexander and Ashley B. Scott. Whitney is an associate in the Trusts and Estates Department where she represents clients in a broad range of areas including estate planning, elder law, trust administration, estate administration and tax planning.  Prior to joining McLane Middleton, she was an attorney at Spano & Dawicki, LLC.  During law school, Whitney interned with Greater Boston Legal Services in the Elder Law unit and immediately after graduation became the co-author of Massachusetts Elder Law (Lexis Nexis).  Whitney is currently a member of the Professionalism and Ethics Committee of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA) and as a member of that committee she is working on the revised NAELA Aspirational Standards which serve as the cornerstone of ethical and professional guidance for elder law and special needs law attorneys.  Whitney resides in Portsmouth, N.H., and can be reached in the firm’s Woburn office at (781) 904-2671 or whitney.alexander@mclane.com.
