For Immediate Release
By Patty Katsaros
Maine-based electronics manufacturer, AMI is pleased to announce that is teaming up with DGF Technologies to open the AMI-DGF Electronics Prototyping Facility
in the heart of Somerville’s Village of Innovation. This location will serve area hardware startups and small manufacturers alike by offering affordable design, prototyping, and manufacturing expertise for circuit board and electro-mechanical assemblies– the kind needed to get projects off the ground faster and with a higher success rate. Essentially, small, growing companies can obtain access to the knowledge and manufacturing capabilities normally reserved for higher volume, well established businesses.
By bringing together over 25 years of manufacturing experience, production level equipment, and expert design skills, this facility will help the area’s innovation community create higher quality prototypes and eliminate the costly redesigns and corrections common with electronics development. In addition, it will improve MA based manufacturers’ time to market through agile, quick turn production capabilities.
On October 28th
, Somerville Mayor Joseph Curtatone and other esteemed guests from the Massachusetts Economic Development community will join AMI & DGF Technologies in celebrating the launch with an opening ceremony and reception followed by a public launch party
at neighboring Aeronaut Brewing Co.
