  Contact:   Sean Martin                                                          For Immediate Release Regan Communications Group (617) 488-2886 (office) (617) 212- 3348 (cell)     Mirick O’Connell and SBANE to host Worcester “Capital Solutions for Small Business” Event Financing Options for Central Mass Manufacturers Featured Waltham, MA (April 26, 2011) – The Smaller Business Association of New England (SBANE) and Mirick O’Connell, Attorneys at Law, will host a Capital Connections Series in Worcester next month.    The Series entitled “Capital Solutions for Small Business” will focus on the new Massachusetts Growth Capital Corporation and the services it can provide Central Massachusetts manufacturers to help promote economic growth and preserve jobs in the Commonwealth.   The Massachusetts Growth Capital Corporation (MGCC) was created by the Governor and the State Legislature as the single small business source for technical and financial assistance. MGCC provides flexible working capital financing that compliments money provided by banks.   “We have assembled a panel of Central Mass entrepreneurs and consultants that have worked with the MGCC and will share their experiences with the attendees,” said SBANE President Robert Baker.  “We hope to elevate the profile of the MCGG in Central Mass for bankers and their borrowers”.   Baker is also a Board Member of the Mass Growth Capital Corporation and was appointed by the Governor in 2010 for a five year term.   MGCC Interim President Charles Grigsby is the featured speaker, and the forum will be moderated by David Surprenant, Esq., Managing Partner at Mirick, O’Connell, DeMallie & Lougee, LLP.  Edwin Shea, Jr., Bank of America Market President for the Greater Worcester Area, will also deliver an “SBANE Partner Perspective.”   On the panel: Bill Weissman, President of ModuForm in Fitchburg; Mike Ciampa of Delta Consulting in Templeton; Janet Ceddia, President of Security Construction Services in Hudson; and Richard Padovano, President of EMX Controls in Uxbridge.   The SBANE “Capital Solutions for Small Business” event will take place Wednesday, May 25, from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Mechanic’s Hall, 321 Main Street in Worcester.  Registration begins at 7:30 a.m.   The cost is $40 for SBANE members and $59 for non-members.  To make reservations please call 781-890-9070 or visit SBANE’s website at www.sbane.org.
