The prestigious New England Innovation Awards, now its 30th year, began as a way to showcase the spirit of innovation in New England. In 2015, 173 companies were nominated to the competitive award process; 25 percent of the nominated companies are non-profit organizations. All nominated companies will begin meeting with the judging panel on March 19th at the Conference Center at Bentley University in Waltham. Only 20 of the 173 nominees will move into Phase Two of the program, which takes place in April.

Eight winners will be announced at the “Evening of Innovation” Gala on May 6, 2015. The keynote speaker for that event will be Alan S. McKim, Chairman and CEO of Clean Harbors. Innovation Award winners are entered into the SBANE “Circle of Excellence” where they join companies such as iRobot, Staples, Boston Duck Tours, HubSpot and Ben & Jerry’s Homemade, Inc along with 194 other past winners in a variety of industries.
