SBANE Holds Annual Meeting in Waltham

SBANE Elects New Chair of the Board of Directors and 6 New Board Members WALTHAM –The Smaller Business Association of New England (SBANE) held their Annual Meeting of the members for the Association on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at SBANE Headquarters in Waltham. SBANE holds this meeting every fall for the purpose of the election of the Board of Directors. During the 30-minute meeting, members elected a new Chair of the Board of Directors and appointed six new board members. Outgoing Chair of the Board of Directors, Robert Shea, shareholder at Ogletree Deakins in Boston, brought the meeting to order. “SBANE’s success and sustainability is dependent upon the hard work, dedication, innovation and enthusiasm of our member volunteers, particularly those who serve on SBANE’s committees and the Board”, Shea said in his opening remarks.

Highlights & Resources from SBANE – NASA Stairway to the Stars Event

On September 16th, the Smaller Business Association of New England (SBANE) hosted an informational and matchmaking event to connect regional manufacturers with NASA and several of its prime contractors including Lockheed Martin, Raytheon, United Technologies Aerospace Systems, Draper Laboratory, and Boeing.  As an event sponsor and supplier to many of the participants, Dynavac showcased several Space Simulation System projects including its participation in the James Webb Space Telescope program. SBANE Announces the Winners of the 2016 Innovation Awards

Judges chose eight winners from an impressive pool of 188 nominees WALTHAM, Mass., May 13, 2016- The Smaller Business Association of New England (SBANE) has announced the eight winners of the prestigious 2016 SBANE New England Innovation Awards. The winners, narrowed from a list of 20 finalists, were announced at the May 12th Evening of Innovation program held at the Westin Hotel, Waltham, MA. “The New England Innovation Awards showcases the best innovative companies in our region who possess the most explosive growth potential to expand our economic base. The health of the New England Economy depends upon the creative forces of innovation to drive capital formation and job creation” said SBANE President, Robert Baker.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Contact: Susan Barber Communications and Programs Director SBANE susan@sbane.org 781-890-9070 ex 236 20 Finalists have been selected for SBANE’s 2016 New England Innovation Awards Program 66 Judges narrowed down a pool of 188 Nominated Companies Waltham, MA, March 12, 2015 - The Smaller Business Association of New England (SBANE) has announced the 20 Finalists for this year’s New England Innovation Awards. 66 Judges met with the 188 nominated companies, from all six New England states, during Phase 1 of the competition on March 22nd, 2016 at Bentley University in Waltham. From there, they narrowed it down to 20 finalists in two different categories. The finalists are: Not for Profit Finalists

173 Companies Nominated for 2015 SBANE New England Innovation Awards

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Contact: Susan Barber Communications and Programs Director SBANE susan@sbane.org 781-890-9070 ex 236   173 Companies Nominated for 2015 SBANE New England Innovation Awards Waltham, MA, March 12, 2015 - The Smaller Business Association of New England (SBANE) officially closed nominations for the 2015 New England Innovation Awards on March 11th after a two month call. The prestigious New England Innovation Awards, now its 30th year, began as a way to showcase the spirit of innovation in New England. In 2015, 173 companies were nominated to the competitive award process; 25 percent of the nominated companies are non-profit organizations. All nominated companies will begin meeting with the judging panel on March 19th at the Conference Center at Bentley University in Waltham. Only 20 of the 173 nominees will move into Phase Two of the program, which takes place in April.
