SBANE Breakfast Series Kicks Off New Season with “Painting…Magic into Profit”

2011 SBANE Innovation Winner IdeaPaint’s CEO talks about where the idea came from and where they are going next. WALTHAM- Everyone has used a dry erase whiteboard at some point in time; they are in offices, schools and homes all across the country. So why did 105 businessmen and women gather at the Westin Hotel in Waltham to learn about the newest trend in….whiteboards?

It is called IdeaPaint and it is certainly does not fit the definition of a typical dry erase board. It’s paint, for starters, so it lacks the typical whiteboard boundaries, can be applied to a variety of surfaces and comes in 15 colors, as well as white.

President and CEO Bob Monroe joined IdeaPaint in 2009 and was the featured speaker at SBANE’s Massachusetts September Breakfast Series. He used an interactive presentation to show attendees IdeaPaint success stories and customer testimonials. Using IdeaPaint creates less environmental waste, as it has less packaging then other white boards and won’t be thrown into a landfill after it wears out.

SBANE Massachusetts Breakfast Series are held once a month at the Westin Hotel in Waltham and each month features a different and compelling keynote speaker. This month’s featured sponsor was Cloudy IT. At the October breakfast meeting, Richard M. Freeland, Commissioner of Massachusetts Higher Education will present “The Vision Project”.

IdeaPaint was nominated for and won a 2011 SBANE Innovation Award. For more information about SBANE’s Innovation Awards, Breakfast Series and other SBANE events, visit www.sbane.org or call 781-890-9070
