Andy Tarsy, co-founder and Executive Director of the Progressive Business Leaders Network, a non-profit network of CEOs and other top business leaders committed to socially and environmentally responsible economic growth and the public policies that advance it, will talk about some of that organization’s top issues on what is good for business. He will talk about reform in a number of areas…health, education, financial markets and energy policy…making the case that innovative public policy is the key to growing and sustaining innovative businesses for the 21st century. He and the PBLN feel that small business can no longer afford to yield the arguments of what is “good for business” to the incumbent industries and their lobbyists.

Originally a trial lawyer with the U.S. Department of Justice (Civil Rights Division), Andy was Executive Director of the Anti-Defamation League and a senior executive with the international non-profit organization of Facing History and Ourselves. His law practice focused on government investigations and establishing a working group on corporate social responsibility. Andy was appointed by Governor Patrick’s Task Force on Public Integrity and by Governor Swift’s Task Force on Hate Crimes.
