SBANE Secures $200,000 from MA State Legislature for Lay-Off Aversion Program
SBANE has secured $200,000 from the Massachusetts State Legislature for its "Lay-Off Aversion" Program. Senator Steven C. Panagiotakos (D) and Representatives Daniel E. Bosley (D), and Brian S. Dempsey (D), were instrumental in securing dollars for this consulting program. These matching funds, earmarked for Massachusetts manufacturers, have helped make it possible for 64 small businesses with over 2,800 jobs, to prevent staff cuts, support changes in strategies and help those companies stay competitive.
